Heyamoto is wrestling champ

The Northshore School District held its Junior High School Wrestling District Championships at Inglemoor High School on March 31.
Both junior varsity and varsity champs were crowned during the day-long event.
Tyler Heyamoto, son of Gary and Cynthia Heyamoto and a 9th grader at Leota Junior High School, competed in the 100-lb. varsity level going undefeated this year (7-0) pinning his opponents six out of seven times.
As a seventh grader, he was the 75 lb. varsity district champion, and last year he was the district's 80 lb. varsity champion.
His efforts at this year's title meet distinguished him as the first three-time varsity district champion in the history of Leota wrestling. Tyler credits his coaches, Jim Mangialardi, Ron Saario and Brady Houck.
