John H. Chamberlin

Memorial services were held April 21 for former Woodinville Weekly writer John Chamberlin, 85.
   John was born Nov. 17, 1915, in Provo, Utah, and passed away April 12 in Bothell.
   During World War II, he served in the Army in Europe and later was a general agent for John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company for 31 years.
   Following his retirement, John became an outdoors writer contributing articles to local and national fishing and hunting magazines.
   He wrote a column for the Woodinville Weekly for 10 years and was the author of a book titled "Wandering the West." When he was no longer able to fish and hunt, he joined several amateur musical groups and entertained in the area.
   He is survived by his wife, Lucille; sons, Alan of Woodland Park, Colo., and Kevin and his wife Lynn of Seattle; and one grandson, Joe Williams. He was preceded in death by one son, Roger, and a grandson, Gerald Williams.
   Memorials may be made to Evergreen Hospice or Community Services for the Blind.
