May 7, 2001
The 2001 Pacific Northwest Art Council's (PNAC) tour of artists' gardens will take place on Sunday, May 20, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. For nine years, the Seattle Art Museum's PNAC has offered participants a unique tour through gardens that showcase local artists' imaginative blends of art and nature.
This year's tour includes the gardens of five individual artists from Shoreline to West Seattle. Many of the artists' studios will be open and are included in the tour.
Participants purchasing tickets in advance receive a tour map in the mail so they can proceed on their own to these gardens. Bathrooms are not available and not all gardens are wheelchair accessible. Ticket prices are $6 for PNAC members, $10 for SAM members and $12 for nonmembers. Tickets can be purchased at the Seattle Art Museum Box Office in person or by calling (206) 654-3121. Tickets will also be available on the day of the tour at several of the featured gardens. Call the council's office at (206) 654-3119 for details.
