New home for plants
Kate Berry, a fifth-grade student in Mr. Booth's class, helped plant a demonstration garden at Cottage Lake Elementary. The Woodinville Water District donated shrubs and groundcover to the school after dismantling its own demonstration garden to make room for construction of a new administrative building. Because the donated plants needed to be transplanted as soon as possible, volunteer faculty, students, and parents worked together on Friday, April 27.
Plants donated include autumn joy, palace purple, mourning widow geranium, blue-star juniper, daylilies, creeping thyme, a variety of bulbs and many more shrubs and perennials.
