Number of underage drinkers has increased
Teen drunk driving has decreased within the past decade. But the number of underage drinkers has increased. This shows that the media and other anti-drunk driving programs have focused only on teen drinking and driving. They obviously haven't addressed the core problem.
The core problem happens to be that minors continue to drink alcohol. The good news is that there have been a decreasing number of deaths due to drinking and driving accidents among teens. The bad news is teens continue drinking alcohol. By not addressing the core problem, there is a danger that teenage drunk driving will increase again. There must be an end put to this by striving to eliminate teen drinking completely.
