Historic Centralia celebration, May 26-28

An antiques appraisal fair, free mini-seminars, historic home tour, parade, music and activities for kids are slated for the third annual Historic Centralia Celebration May 26 through 28.
   Randeen Cummings, an Oregon-based certified appraiser, will be on hand to give verbal appraisals of antiques at the Masonic Temple, 218 N. Pearl, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with a break from noon to 1 p.m.) and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The cost of a two-item appraisal is $5.
   Free mini-seminars, conducted by local antiques dealers, will take place Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at various venues. Topics include everything from "Kitchenware" to "Selling Antiques on the Internet."
   A Memorial Day parade will begin at noon on Saturday in downtown Centralia. Following the parade at 1:30 p.m. the Veteran's Memorial Museum will present a tribute to veterans and war heroes at a ceremony in Washington Park. A Historic Homes Tour will be open for self-guided tours on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person. Call (360) 807-0635 for information.
