Buddhist teacher to speak at Bastyr University

Bastyr University student council is sponsoring a presentation by Alan Clements, a man who has been on the front line of change all over the world on Friday, June 8, from 6:30 p.m 8:30pm in the Bastyr auditorium. Admission is free.
Clements is a gifted and thought provoking speaker who has long been aware that true change must first come from within. He has lived a life as a journalist, photographer, teacher, Buddhist monk and human rights activist in war zones and refugee camps all over the world, including such hot spots as Bosnia, Burma, Afghanistan and Vietnam.
He uses his understanding of world affairs, human rights, and Buddhist psychology to help his audience look into their souls and make a difference in their own communities.
CBS, ABC, the New York Times, Newsweek and Time Magazines have all reported on Clements.
He has been a favorite presenter to such organizations as Amnesty International, the Soros Foundation, the State of the World Forum and the Universities of Harvard, California, Toronto, Sydney and many other cities.
