Metro to provide shuttle service to Folklife Festival
Metro Transit is providing special shuttle service for the Northwest Folklife Festival from both Northgate and downtown Seattle over the Memorial Day weekend, May 26-28, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day.
The Northgate shuttle will operate Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Memorial Day weekend between: the Northgate Park & Ride lot at Northeast 112th Street and 5th Avenue Northeast; the Northgate Transit Center at 1st Avenue Northeast and Northeast 103rd Street; and the Seattle Center on Mercer Street.
Headed toward Seattle Center, the Northgate Shuttle makes all posted stops along the route. Passengers can board the shuttle at any posted bus stop along its route. The trip from the Northgate P&R to Seattle Center is 25 minutes.
Return trips, signed "To Northgate Shuttle," leave the Seattle Center eastbound on Mercer Street at 3rd Avenue North. Be sure to check the sign on the bus.
Shuttles operate approximately every 20 minutes until the last bus leaves Mercer Street at Seattle Center Playhouse at 11 p.m.
The bus returns to the Northgate P&R via Aurora, Northgate Way, the Northgate Transit Center and 5th Avenue Northeast, dropping off passengers by request at any posted bus stop along the route.
In addition to all regularly scheduled service on 1st, 3rd and 4th Avenues, Metro Transit will operate another shuttle to and from the Seattle Center via the Pike Place Market and First Avenue.

Shuttles operate approximately every 20 minutes until 11 p.m. The bus returns to Downtown Seattle via Mercer Street, 5th Avenue North, Cedar Street, and 2nd Avenue to Marion Street, dropping off passengers by request at any posted bus stop along the route.
On both shuttles, regular $1 (one-way) cash fares apply. All valid passes and transfers are accepted. Transfers and $2 All Day Passes will be issued upon request.
Family Fares are available on Sunday and Monday.
This schedule is the same all three days. There is no special shuttle service on Friday, May 25. Please use regularly scheduled transit service on that day.
