Events at Pumps & Grinds
Take Three will be performing Saturday, May 26, at Pumps & Grinds. They will be performing jazz standards by Cole Porter, Gershwin and Jerome Kern. Guitarist and vocalist Lyle Erman will be joined by veteran tenor saxophonist Bob Gianetto and bassist Nate Searle.
The trio's repertoire will include Latin rhythms and a relaxed swing, making a perfect accompaniment to dinner and dessert.

Primalux Yoga now in Carnation in Duvall
Primalux Yoga opens at two new locations beginning May 1. Instructor Cathy Iacobazzi has been teaching yoga in the Valley for over a year and has expanded her services to include more classes and more levels of instruction. Register for Braithburn summer camp
Braithburn Academy in Duvall has begun summer camp registration. Braithburn offers camp programs for preschool and school-age children. Camp begins June 26 and will include field trips, arts and crafts, games, cooking projects and much more. For more information, call Shannon at (425) 788-4343.
Skyhawks sports program for kids
Registration has begun for the Skyhawks summer soccer camps to be held in the Duvall fields during the weeks of July 30-August 3 and August 20-24 for ages 5 to 14. Mentor a youth
Make a difference in the life of a young person. The Snoqualmie Valley Mentoring Program seeks caring, positive, fun, responsible adult volunteers to mentor local 9-14-year-old youth. New enrichment program starting in Duvall
The Farm School Enrichment Program is open for enrollment for September 2001. Designed for children aged 4 to 6, this one day a week program combines class time with gardening, caring for animals, horseback riding, nature activities and farm life. The program will be taught by a certified teacher, a horse training instructor who showed nationally for years, and a horseback instructor/homeschool mom of 15 years. Class is limited to 12. Fire District 27 seeks volunteers
King County Fire District 27 in Fall City is looking for men and women who would like to volunteer for the Fire Department, which provides fire supression, emergency rescue and medical services. Meals on Wheels
Do you know a senior who is unable to leave their home to shop for groceries or has difficulty preparing meals for themselves? If so, Meals on Wheels can help. Meals on Wheels offers a selection of 35 complete breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees to homebound persons age 60 or over. The cost of each meal is a suggested donation of $3. Participants decide for themselves, what, if anything, they wish to contribute. English as a Second Language (ESL) classes
Duvall ESL beginning level classes are on Mondays from 6:30-8 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10-11:30 a.m. There is an advanced class on Saturdays from 8:30-10:30 a.m. All Duvall classes are held at the Eastside Literacy Office at 26320 NE Cherry St., basement level B-1. Lunch with the Sno-Valley Seniors
The Sno-Valley Seniors invite residents to have lunch at the center, prepared by Lisa Tschohl, weekdays at noon. May menu items include Belgian waffles, Cinco De Mayo fiesta meal, special Mother's Day and birthday lunches, salmon croquettes and Ivar's Clam Chowder. Help build literacy
Eastside Literacy Council is looking for volunteers interested in tutoring English speaking adults who need help with basic skills and/or GED preparation. Volunteers are also needed to teach English as a Second Language small groups in the Valley. A commitment of 3-4 hours a week for one year is requested. Volunteers do not need previous teaching experience, since quality training and support are provided. Sno-Valley Senior Shuttle
The Sno-Valley Senior Shuttle‹volunteer transportation service for seniors and people with disabilities‹is available Monday-Friday from 9-4. Those eligible can use the Senior Shuttle for rides to the Senior Center, grocery shopping, medical appointments and other local errands. All rides are free; however, donations are accepted.
