Literacy Drive a success!
The Cedarcrest Chapter of the National Honors Society thanks the Duvall and Carnation communities, and the students and staff of the Riverview School District for their contributions to the 2001 Community Literacy Drive. A special thank you goes out to Annie Ehler, Rosie Lebow, Shannon Neigel, Sara Sage, and Lauren Trocano for their time and patience in aiding with the success of this charity drive.
In all, 2,800 books were collected from Carnation Elementary, Cedarcrest High School, Cherry Valley Elementary, Stillwater Elementary, and Tolt Middle School. These books were donated to the Carnation Headstart and Duvall E.C.E.A.P educational programs, Acres of Diamonds home for woman and children, Sno-Valley Family Center, Carnation Hopelink, and the Carnation Saint Vincent de Paul. These books will help further the growth of reading skills for unfortunate children in the Snoqualmie Valley.
