It pays to recycle

Timbercrest Junior High recently participated as one of 10 Seattle-area schools in a program to recycle old telephone books as an alternative to sending them to a waste facility. Local radio stations, KLSY, KWJZ, and Warm 106.9 teamed up with Quest Dex to promote recycling by offering $1 for each phone book brought in (up to 250 books). Timbercrest students collected 465 phone books and the $250 donation will be used to buy new books for the school library.
