Spectacular Events plans trip to Shakespeare Festival

Spectacular Events, a joint program of Bellevue and Cascadia community colleges, is now accepting reservations from the public for a July 6 tour to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland.
The group will see "The Merchant of Venice" and "The Tempest," which many consider two of Shakespeare's best, and a comedy, "Enter the Guardsmen."
As with all Spectacular Events programs, the tour will include additional components to enhance the educational experience. In this case, lectures, discussions and a backstage tour are planned.
The group will depart Friday, July 6, at 7:30 a.m. and return Sunday, July 8, at about 8 p.m. Early registration is encouraged as space may be limited.
The registration fee is $529 per person for double-occupancy overnight accommodations, or $554 for single-occupancy accommodations. The fee includes tickets to all three plays, transportation, overnight accommodations, a backstage tour, lectures, discussions and educational materials. Meals are extra.
For more information about the trip, call Spectacular Programs Director Don Christensen at (425) 564-2870, or visit BCC's Continuing Education Web site at www.conted.bcc.ctc.edu.
