Betty M. Peschel

Betty Peschel, 74, died as a result of injuries from an auto accident June 21 on East Lake Sammamish Parkway.
   A Woodinville resident since 1998, Mrs. Peschel was born May 20, 1927, in Sioux City, Iowa.
   She graduated from Cathedral High School and Briar Cliff University. In 1954 she married Fred Peschel and in 1985 the couple moved to Bellevue.
   Mrs. Peschel owned and operated Bellevue Caterers for 23 years.
   She is survived by her husband, Fred; daughters, Cindy Peschel-Hull of Woodinville, Cheri Peschel of Kirkland, and Rene Szafryk of Auburn; son, Brian Peschel of Seattle; sisters, Carol Shields of Huntsville, Ala., and Cele Erickson of Princeton, Ill., and six grandchildren. A son, Fred Peschel Jr., died in 1995.
   A funeral Mass was celebrated June 26 at St. Jude Catholic Church.
