Stop and smell the roses in memorial garden

From her second-floor apartment, a lady leaned her head out the window and called to the man working in the garden below, "Thank you for caring for the garden. I can see the roses and I love them."
  

Lights stay on, thanks to July 4 pancake eaters

CARNATION Many revelers at Carnation's Fourth of July festivities will begin the day feeding on pancakes at Tolt Congregational United Church of Christ. In doing so, they will be contributing to the church's "Good Neighbor Fund," one of the church's many outreach ministries.
  

July Fourth forecast: Lots of family fun

A full day of events is planned for Carnation's 4th of July festival.
   The Carnation Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event begins with a 5K run/walk (Run for the Pies) through the picturesque rural area, followed by a pancake breakfast.
  

One-day Duvall Bridge closure set for June 30

DUVALL-The King County Department of Transportation will be closing the Woodinville-Duvall Bridge on Saturday, June 30, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., for bridge inspection and repair.
