Bothell's Liberty Bell rings for the Fourth
by Greg Thomason
Special to the Weekly
As Bothell celebrated America's 225th birthday last week, Bothell Mayor, Mike Noblet, and Councilwoman, Sandy Guinn, rang the Evergreen-Washelli's Liberty Bell along the route of the grand parade.
The one-ton bell is made from the same mold and by the same company that created the original bell in Philadelphia, Penn.
During the bicentennial year, 1976, the bell toured the Puget Sound area.It was then put into storage and brought out three years ago for display and viewing. It can be seen daily at the Bothell Funeral Home.
