Obituary: Lucille Antoinette Bayer Long
Lucille Long was born in Nuremburg, Germany, Sept. 11, 1904, to Anton and Mariana Dudek Bayer.
The family emigrated to Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1914 and then to Seattle in 1923.
Lucille married Chester Arthur Long in 1927. They built a home on Grannis Road, Fernwood, in 1940 where Chet lived until he died in 1983 and where Lucille continued to live for another 15 years until she became disabled by Alzheimer's disease.
She died June 29 in a nursing home in McMinnville, Ore. where her daughter, Shirley Kimball, lives.
She is also survied by her brother, Al Bayer; grandsons, Sam Kimball, Anton Kimball, and Jess Kimball; granddaughters, Angela Steckly and Lenna Kimball; great-grandsons, Alex Steckly, Jake Steckly, Riley Kimball and Parker Kimball.
There was a memorial service July 7 followed by a gathering at the home of her brother in Woodinville.
