2001 Fun Run a success

The 2001 Fall City Days Fun Run committee would like to thank all those who helped to make this year's run a great success. We were able to grow the race by close to 200 participants this year bringing 900 runners to our valley on Saturday, June 16, both to enjoy the race and our Fall City Days annual event.
Trophies, gift certificates and Fall City Days memorabilia were awarded to 5K and 10K male and female runners. Ribbons were awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in all nine age group divisions for females and males. First place winners in each age division were also awarded a gift certificate from FootZone.
Crucial to the success of the Fun Run were our sponsors and businesses/organizations.
Race proceeds go to Mount Si High School's Parent Booster Club, Wildcat Inspiration Network (WIN) promoting academic and athletic excellence at Mt. Si High School. The race requires over 100 volunteers comprised of parents, students and staff from Mt. Si to work at the water stations, registration, refreshment area, start/finish line, announcing, parking, course monitoring, timing, race course set-up, etc. A core group of Mount Si parents and friends assisted with the valuable pre-race organization duties.
As coordinators we strive to grow our event by incorporating new ideas to help our run stand out from the many other events available to our participants. All of our sponsors, businesses and volunteers help us to accomplish this goal ultimately benefiting the children at Mount Si High School. Thank you so much for helping make our 2001 Fall City Days Fun Run a success.
