Monroe grad plans science career

Janice Annabelle Kyan, 19, a 2001 Monroe High School grad, is planning a career in the science field.
   Kyan will attend the University of Washington this fall with a major in virology or microbiology. She has a long list of awards under her belt, including a Team Work Award, four perfect attendance awards, two Leadership Awards from Sno-Isle Skill Center, Student of the Week award, Art Achievement award and New Technology Achievement award. She has volunteered at Kirkland retirement homes for one year and for a food drive donation.
   Kyan lives in the Woodinville area with her parents, Htet Kyan and Aye Aye Swe, and brother, Lin.
