Northshore hires two new principals
Sharon Lehwalder will become the new principal of Canyon Park Junior High School, replacing Roy Adler who is moving to the Issaquah School District. For the past 11 years Lehwalder has worked in the Mukilteo School District as an administrator in the district office and at both the junior and senior high levels. She worked in curriculum development and instruction, communication with parents and the community, and educational leadership.
Lehwalder holds a master's in education in school administration from Western Washington University. She and her husband Phil live in Kirkland.
Bob Jones will become the new principal at Shelton View Elementary School, replacing Gary Shelly who has accepted a position at Central Washington University. Jones has had 19 years of experience in the Northshore School District as both a teacher and an administrator. Most recently he served as the assistant principal of Woodmoor Elementary School. Jones earned both his master's in education in school administration and his principal certification from Western Washington University. He and his wife Larri live in north Seattle.
