Guest Editorial: Set the stage for school success

*Parents can do a lot to help their child succeed in school. Setting the stage for school success is so important in helping children to become good learners.

Shame on you

*Shame on you if you are inconsiderate and show no compassion for disabled people. Six times recently I needed disabled parking and cars were illegally parked - no disabled parking permit or disabled license plate.

Now there is reason for hope

*Ralph Munro suggested several elections ago that Washingtonians should be grateful for having "clean government" in contrast to some states.

Have advocates of sportsfields dropped a stitch?

*I wonder whether those who advocate sportsfields on idle Sammamish Valley ag lands have dropped a stitch.

Center appreciates support of golf tournament

*The members, staff and board of the Sno-Valley Senior Center wish to express appreciation to the people and businesses who gave us great support for the July 20 Ben Jones Memorial Golf Tournament at the Mount Si Golf Course.

Young athletes need to be careful of summer heat

*The Northshore School Board wishes to publicly thank the Northshore Scholarship Foundation for its outstanding support of the students in our district.
