Free September computer classes

Introduction to the World Wide Web
   This is a hands-on class for people who are beginners on the World Wide Web. Learn about a browser, type Web addresses and get Web pages, click links, and navigate pages and sites.
   Sign up for one of the classes below, and learn how to use the Web.
   Tuesday, Sept. 18, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
   Thursday, Sept. 20, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
   Saturday, Sept. 29, 10 to 11:30 a.m.
   Introduction to Microsoft Excel
   Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program with multiple columns and rows that allows you to create tables and perform calculations.
   Learn how to open and edit an Excel worksheet, use Excel menu and toolbars, select and edit cells within a worksheet, use formulas to tabulate data between columns and rows. Bring a 3.5" disc to class.
   Thursday, Sept.13, 1 to 3:30 p.m.
   Introduction to Microsoft Excel
   This class (lecture and hands on) starts with an Excel lecture in our meeting room and finishes with hands-on experience using Excel on the library's computers.
   This is an introduction to Excel and is intended for people wiht no spreadsheet experience. Bring a 3.5" disk to class.
   Saturday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
   Advanced Microsoft Excel
   Learn to use the skills you acquired in Introduction to Excel, including number formatting, additional formulas and functions. This class is for experienced Excel users only.
   Thursday, Sept.13, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
   Advanced Microsoft Word
   Learn how to use the tabs and tables functions in Word. This class is for experienced Word users only.
   Thursday, Sept. 13, 4 to 5:30 p.m.

   Class sizes are very small, with waiting lists, so please call to cancel a registration if necessary.
