Choir will present works by Brahms

The Evergreen Community Choir will present the complete "Liebeslieder Waltzes" (love song waltzes) and other sacred and popular works by Johannes Brahms in two performances.
   The first performance will take place on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 8 p.m. at the Bear Creek United Methodist Church (16530 Avondale Rd. N.E.) in Woodinville. The second performance is set for the Monroe Congregational Church (301 S. Lewis St.) on Sunday, Sept. 9, at 3 p.m.
   Admission is free. The Evergreen Community Choir consists of 30+ members residing in Snohomish and King counties.

   The choir will also perform "Neue Libeslieder," "How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place" (from Brahms' Requiem), and "Within My Heart Breathes Music, "two of Brahms' most known compositions. Though originally in German, The Evergreen Community Choir will be singing all pieces in English.
