Drainage work to close roads

The King County Road Services Division will close short sections of two local roads the next two weeks.
The Preston-Fall City Road at S.E. 47th St. will be closed from 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13 through 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 just south of Fall City. Traffic will be routed onto a short detour via 328th Way S.E.
A slightly longer closure is in store for a 1,000-foot stretch of West Snoqualmie Valley Road, in the 12900 block southwest of Duvall. That roadway will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17 through 7 p.m. Friday, Sept.21.
Motorists are advised to use State Route 203, via either N.E. 124th St. or the Woodinville-Duvall Road, to avoid the closure.
Both closures are necessary so crews can install new box culverts to improve drainage and prevent flooding along the roadways.
