Art for kids' sake
DUVALL - The young students of local art instructor Dianne Brudnicki have set up their second annual art exhibit at Pumps & Grinds on Main Street. The works come from the studio of Dianne B. Art Works and Legacy Home School Center.
Brudnicki says the annual event promotes the involvement of children in art, gives the young artists an opportunity to show their work in public and inspires other artists.
Art, she says, is a wonderful way to teach children how to analyze their world and express themselves in it. The kids learned drawing techniques, working in charcoal, ink, markers, colored pencil and graphite, followed by water color, acrylic and collage.
All the youngsters' works are for sale. Brudnicki said that $3 from every sale will be donated to the nation's disaster relief effort. The exhibit runs through this week.
