Final primary election results

According to King County Records and Elections, terrorist episodes that occurred Sept. 11 appear to have distracted absentee voters causing many more than usual to wait until the last day or two to cast their ballots.
On top of that, the events also caused delays in the processing of mail so even many of the absentee ballots that were voted early were delayed in being delivered to the election office.
There was roughly a 27 percent turnout.
