Library to honor fireghters Oct. 13

*Kingsgate Library will hold a Firefighter Appreciation Celebration at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.
  

Open house planned for Novelty Hill Road

*The King County Department of Transportation will hold an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, at Evergreen Junior High School to present an update on the Novelty Hill Road Project.
  

Holiday Arts and Crafts Show

*Get an early start on holiday shopping at the annual Holiday Arts and Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, next to the Woodinville Community Center on Northeast 175th Street in downtown Woodinville.

Wine tastings at Willows Lodge

*Wine tastings at the Fireside at Willows Lodge are held daily between 3 and 5 p.m. Cost is $10 per person for three to five tastings.

Bothell Parks & Rec activities

*Junior high students are invited to drop in to shoot some hoops, play ping-pong, or just hang out with friends and have a slice of pizza.

Help plant native trees, shrubs

*Water Tenders and King County Parks need help planting over 300 native trees and shrubs in the Cold Creek Natural Area.
