The Northshore PTA Council, in cooperation with the Northshore School District, will present an information workshop for college-bound 10-12 grade students from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Woodinville High School Theatre.
The workshop will be conducted by school district counselors and will include information for both parents and students about college examinations, finances, programs, choices, survival and the college entrance process.
Items to be discussed will include €Why plan to attend college; €How to choose preparatory high school courses; €How to select a college; €What to do to get into the college of my choice; €How to apply to the college of my choice; €College testing; €College scholarships; €Financial aid; €Where to live: dorm, sorority/fraternity or apartment.
Cost is $25 for up to three family members. Enrollment forms are available from counselors at Bothell, Inglemoor, and Woodinville high schools and The Secondary Academy for Success.
Registration deadline is Oct. 26 with enrollment limited to the first 300 people. The registration form and a check payable to the Northshore PTA Council should be sent to Northshore PTA Council, 18315 Bothell Way NE, Bothell, WA 98011.
