October Computer Classes

Introduction to the World Wide Web
   This is a hands-on class for people who are beginners on the World Wide Web. Learn about a browser, type web addresses and get web pages, click links, and navigate pages and sites. Sign up for one of the classes below, and learn how to use the Web.
   Wednesday, Oct. 10, noon to 1:30 p.m.; Thursday, Oct. 11, 6:30 to 8 p.m.; Tuesday, Oct. 16, 6:30 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 20, 10 to 11:30 a.m.
   Introduction to Microsoft Excel
   Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program with multiple columns and rows that allows you to create tables and perform calculations. Learn how to open and edit an Excel worksheet, use Excel menu and toolbars, select and edit cells within a worksheet, use formulas to tabulate data between columns and rows.
   Thursday, Oct. 18, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
   Introduction to Microsoft Excel: lecture and hands on
   This class starts with an Excel lecture in our meeting room and finishes with hands-on experience using Excel on the library's computers. This is an introduction to Excel and is intended for people with no spreadsheet experience.
   Saturday, Oct. 27, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
   Introduction to Microsoft Word
   Learn how to create documents, change the look of the text, change the layout of documents, use menus and toolbars, and print.
   Thursday, Oct. 18, 10 to 11:30 a.m.
   Introduction to Microsoft Power Point
   This class is an introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint, a program that allows you to organize and deliver overhead and slide presentations. Learn about slide basics, editing views, and how to create a slide show.
   Thursday, Oct. 18, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
   Please register in advance for these classes by phoning the Woodinville Library at (425) 788-0733. Class sizes are very small with waiting lists, so please call to cancel a registration if necessary. Thank you.
