Police Beat

Oct. 15: A vehicle pulled into a gas station in the 14000 block of 175th and purchased $15 worth of gas. After fueling, the driver jumped into his car and peeled out of the station. The attendant ran out and yelled at the car to stop. The car sped down the street but not before the attendant got the license number.
   Officers contacted the registered owner of the car who told them he had sold the vehicle a few days prior to the theft.
   The previous owner gave police the name of the purchaser but did not have any other information.
   Oct. 12: The owner of a veterinary hospital in the 17900 block of Woodinville-Snohomish road arrived at work to discover an attempted burglary. Officers found the doors and lock of an adjacent storage building disturbed, but the suspect(s) did not gain entry.
