Middle school dance
   The T.A.F.T. (Teens Acting For Tomorrow) Youth Council and Lower Valley Youth Programs are helping to co-sponsor a Halloween dance. The free dance, provided by the city of Carnation, will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, 8-10:30 p.m., in the Carnation Multi-Service Center, 31959 E. Commercial. Show off your best costume.    Senior pie auction needs pies
   Bakers ... start your ovens. The Sno-Valley Senior Center needs pies for the pie auction Nov. 10 between 4:30 and 6 p.m. during the monthly steak dinner to benefit the center kitchen. Dig out your favorite recipe and donate a pie to the Sno-Valley Senior Center. George Magnochi will auction the pies.    Volunteer mentors needed

   Volunteers needed for Meals on Wheels
   Meals on Wheels delivery volunteers are a life link to the outside world for the recipients who frequently are unable to leave their homes. Volunteers deliver frozen pre-packed meals, bright smiles and friendly greetings. Volunteers are needed at the Sno-Valley Senior Center in Carnation to sort and deliver orders on Thursday afternoons for one to two hours. A car, valid driver's license and auto insurance are mandatory. Training and assistance are provided. Call Kate Miller at (425) 333-4152.
  
   Cherry Valley Riders meets monthly
