Fall Blow Out at Bothell Parks & Rec
Blow Out Bash
Bothell Parks and Recreation is coming to Skyview Junior High to throw a Blow Out Bash from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2. This night promises something for everyone. The gym and cafeteria will be full of fun offerings for all junior high students. The night will feature: EROCK bungee run and game show, 2 on 2 basketball tourney, super-size video games, board games, music, skate and ski movies and lots more. Your entry fee also gets you two pieces of pizza, pop and a Polaroid picture of you and your friends. All students must show an ASB card the night of the event. Cost is $5 per junior high student at the door.
Accent on Accessories
Adults can learn to make beautiful accents for their homes from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Adult Day Center.
Attendees will learn faux finish, gild, mosaic, etch, decoupage, use glass and tile paints and make stencils. You will complete a frame, a box, a vase and a lampshade. Dress to mess. Cost is $65 per student and includes supplies.
Junior High Gym Night
Junior high students are invited to drop in to shoot some hoops, play ping-pong, or just hang with friends and have a slice of pizza on Mondays through Dec. 17 from 5 - 6:30 p.m. at Canyon Creek Elementary (21400 35th Ave SE); Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Frank Love Elementary (303 224th St. SW) This is an award- winning collaborative program between Bothell Parks & Recreation, Fire & Life Safety and Uncle Peteza's Pizzeria. Junior high school students are free.
New this fall, the CPR class will be teaching the revised American Heart Association curriculum.
Each session is held at the downtown fire house (Station 42). Only one session under each category is needed to receive a two-year certification card for that category. All classes taught by Bothell Fire and EMS.

Back to Basics Cooking Series
Learn how to make basic meals that will please any palate. Learn some fabulous appetizers to take to parties.
Professional caterer and restauranteur Leigh Henderson will share recipes for some savory favorites along with quick salad ideas. Intimidated by baking? Fear not. You will learn the ins and outs of dough - both for pies and breads. Go ahead, treat your family to a homemade supper.
Bread Baking: Alexas on Main - Thursday, Nov. 1, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Appetizers #2: Alexas on Main - Thursday, Nov. 8, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. All ages. Cost is $30 per person per class
Ages 7-12 can learn self-defense as well as develop mental and physical coordination from 6:15 to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays (on-going) at Kenmore Junior High School.
Flexibility, agility, coordination and strength are part of the physical conditioning. Concentration, patience and respect are learned as part of the mental conditioning.
Sessions will run continuously with payment due each month.
New students go through a series of short one-on-one trainings to learn basics prior to joining full classes.
Cost is $40 per student per month.
