Tolt sponsors November food drive
In cooperation with Northwest Harvest, Tolt Middle School is holding a food drive called "Kids for Cans," Nov. 5-16. During this time, the school is asking Tolt students to collect non-perishable food donations. Northwest Harvest collects and distributes food to more than 300 hunger programs in communities statewide. On average, these programs provide services per month to 434,000 people in need. Nearly half of these services go to children. Northwest Harvest relies entirely on community donations and volunteers. Suggested donations include non-perishable food items such as cereal, pasta, canned fruit, vegetables and soups, peanut butter, tuna fish, baby food and formula, canned or powdered milk and salad dressing. Donations can be dropped off at the Tolt Middle School office between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. For information, please call Meagan Allen at (425) 844-4608.
