Festival of Lessons & Carols

DUVALL - The Columbia Choirs ring in the holiday season when the Duvall Arts Commission presents Festival of Lessons & Carols at Cedarcrest Performing Arts Center on Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. Directed by Steven Stevens, the Columbia Boy Choir, the Columbia Girl Choir, the Columbia Vocal Ensemble and the Con Brio Women's Choir celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, and Old Man Winter. The program includes a special version of the traditional "Auld English" Festival of Lessons and Carols - biblical lessons tracing the prophecies and story of Jesus' birth interspersed with carols sung by the choirs.
   For this performance, the Duvall Arts Commission will conduct a food and toy drive to benefit Hopelink. Concert-goers are encourages to bring donations of nonperishable food and/or new unwrapped toys.
   Tickets are available at Gardens & Sunspaces, Pumps and Grinds and Duvall Books in Duvall, Simply Grand in Carnation, or by mail. Mail-order forms can be printed out from the Duvall Arts Commission's Web page at Tickets are $9 for adults, $6 for students and seniors and free admission for children under five.
