Contributions made a difference in lives of others

Cherry Valley Elementary students, staff and parents would like to extend their gratitude to the valley community for their support in our Make a Difference Day Basket Auction. The auction was our most successful one yet, as we raised $1,100 for local families in need.
Because of our community's support, we were able to help three local families. Please know that these families will now be able to pay to heat their homes this winter, buy food for holiday dinners and purchase gifts for their children.
A special thanks to the students at Cherry Valley for the care and efforts shown as they brought in so many wonderful items to create the amazing baskets.
Also, a special thanks to Joan Ramsey and the staff of Country Collections for allowing the auction to be held in front of that store. We have held the auction there for the last four years.
Thank you to all of you who braved the wind and rain that Saturday to come and bid on our baskets, and to the PTA volunteers who gave so much of their time. Please know that your contributions have made a difference in the lives of others.
