Fire strikes Twin Creeks Mobile Home Park
BOTHELL - On Nov. 28 at 4 p.m. crews from Bothell Fire and E.M.S. and Woodinville Fire and Life Safety District responded to a fire in a mobile home in the Twin Creeks Mobile Home Park.
Upon their arrival, crews found smoke and flames coming from the residence. All residents had safely evacuated the building. Crews entered the residence and extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
The structure sustained extensive fire damage in one room and smoke damage throughout the entire structure. Damage to the home and its contents is currently estimated at $20,000.
According to the homeowner, he was alerted by his smoke detector. He then evacuated the home and called 9-1-1 from a neighbor's house.
Bothell Fire advises that smoke detectors are an essential early detection devise. Please be sure to maintain your smoke detectors, it may save your life. If you have a battery operated smoke detector, remember to change the batteries every six months.
