Applications being accepted for school attendance waivers
Students in the Northshore School District are required to attend the school designated for the geographic attendance area in which they live.
Parents or guardians may request their child be allowed to attend another school in the district.
To do so, they must fill an application for attendance waiver.
Out-of-district students who wish to attend a Northshore school must request a variance with their residential school district.
Applications for attendance waivers for the next school year will be accepted Jan. 3 through March 1, 2002, for the families seeking to request continuation of current placement or to initiate a new request.
Application forms are available at schools or in the Student Services Office, Room 5 in the Ricketts Administrative Building, 18315 Bothell Way NE.
The application form contains detailed information concerning the approval process, time line and notification for waiver applications.
Families currently on waiver will receive information via mail prior to Jan. 2, 2002, regarding the waiver process and application information.
