Symbolic gesture underscores medical group partnership
by Valley View staff
The future site of the Evergreen Medical Group in Duvall is a foundation built on partnership.
On Dec. 8, at the future site of the medical facility, local citizens along with members of Evergreen Healthcare's Board of Commissioners, Luba Kihichak, M.D. and Evergreen staff members together picked up electric screwdrivers and bolted a wood plank in place in a symbolic gesture of partnership.
The event commemorated the development milestone reached to date since the discussion to bring a medical clinic to Duvall began more than two years ago by a group of local citizens.
"We are here to acknowledge those who have been involved in this community-wide partnership and to celebrate the milestone of development that we have reached together," said Ron Nowosad, Evergreen's Vice President, Community Relations and Marketing. Nowosad thanked the many individuals who have made the facility a reality.
The event gave citizens the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the floor plan and interior design of the facility through a display of artist renderings, as well as an opportunity to meet Luba Kihichak, M.D., who will be the physician located at the new clinic.
The facility, scheduled to open in March of next year, will be located at the Copper Hill Development at SR 203 and NE 145th Street.
The facility will consist of more than 3,100 square feet and will include seven exam rooms, one procedure room and an X-ray room and laboratory.
The facility is expected to accommodate nearly 16,000 visits annually by its 5th year of operation.
Evergreen, which will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year, will host an open house at the facility upon completion.
