Letters to the Editor

Guest Editorial: Be thankful for what you do have

*There is nary a year in the 225-year history of the United States of America which hasn't been tinged by tragedy of some sort.

Festival featured fun and community involvement

*Woodinville's Light Festival this year was a remarkable display of community involvement and fun. Over 700 people attended the tree lighting ceremony and other activities that took place at the new City Hall building and Brittany Park Retirement Community.

Holiday tree lighting was a bright, happy event

*The city of Duvall and the Duvall Chamber of Commerce wish to express their sincere gratitude for the wonderful community spirit and contributions of many people who helped create the holiday tree lighting event on Saturday, Dec. 8.

Woodinville Skate Park

* My family is excited about the addition of a skatepark to Woodinville. In fact, one of my sons has attended meetings that the city has put on. For me to take time to write this means I feel really strongly about the issue I am about to raise with you

Americans will weather this storm

*As we start another year of this uncertain new millennium, it's easy to feel worried, scared and pessimistic. But instead I feel a great sense of hope. Why? Because I know and trust the spirit of ordinary Americans.
