A memorial service for Torrey Kenneth Sanden, of Duvall, was held Dec. 28 at the Duvall Evangelical Methodist Church. Torrey passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001 in Kirkland. He was 21.
   Torrey was born Sept. 16, 1980 in Loma Linda, California, to Kenneth and Sally Sanden. They moved to Beaverton, Oregon in 1981, and to Duvall in 1987 where he graduated from Cedarcrest High School. Torrey worked as a surveying assistant for URS Engineering in Seattle.
   In his leisure time Torrey enjoyed camping, fishing, snow boarding, skateboarding and hiking. Torrey also liked being a disk jockey and rapping at parties with friends. His friends and family remember him as a kind and loving person with a great sense of humor.
   Survivors include his loving parents, Ken and Sally Sanden of Duvall; his sister, Wendy Sanden of Duvall; his brother, Nathan Sanden of Duvall; his girlfriend, Megan and their baby that is due Feb. 7; and numerous other family members and friends.
   The family suggests remembrances be made in Torrey's name at Duvall Evangelical Methodist Church.
