Ancient art of trees in miniature at Molbak's

Bonsai, the ages-old Asian gardening art, has recently become popular as a way to bring nature, as well as a sense of peace and tranquility, to homes.
The art of bonsai originated in China and eventually migrated to Japan through Korea. Most of the Bonsai sold at Molbak's are grown and cultivated in China. Molbak's is a leading Northwest retailer of indoor bonsai, featuring a broad array of bonsai varieties year-round. The most popular bonsai are semi-tropical varieties such as zelkova, serissa, and Ficus retusa, known as "Asian Queen."
On Saturday, Feb. 2, the Molbak's store in Woodinville will be offering a seminar on the care and cultivation of bonsai, from 9:30 -10:30 a.m., featuring bonsai specialist Ben Mark.
If you would like a demonstration of bonsai cultivation and care, or more information, call (206) 789-5668 to set up an appointment.
