Money quarrel results in shooting

BOTHELL - A 25-year-old Snohomish man was shot during an argument about money last Saturday afternoon, Jan. 26. The incident took place in a common area stairwell of an apartment complex in the 10300 block of Northeast 189th Street, Bothell.
   The victim, shot in the abdomen at close range with a large-caliber handgun, is in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center.
   According to Bothell Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Elmer Brown, the victim, after being shot, went to a neighboring duplex to ask for help in calling 9-1-1. There, the victim collapsed due to his injuries.
   The suspect, a 46-year-old Bothell man and resident of the Northeast 189th Street apartment, later called 9-1-1 to turn himself in.
   Police say the man surrendered without incident.
