Police Beat

Jan. 30: A woman shopping in the 13900 block of Northeast 178 set her purse down while trying on some clothes. She walked to a different section of the store for a minute and when she returned her purse was missing. There are no suspects.
   Jan. 30: At approximately 7:00 in the morning, a couple in the 18900 block of 136th Avenue Northeast left for work. Around 6 p.m. they returned home to find their front door smashed and splintered. Inside they found that suspects had rummaged through their drawers, taken jewelry, personal items and CDs. Police arrived and found a blue coat belonging to the suspect in the driveway. Numerous prints were lifted from the scene.
   Jan. 29: Suspect(s) attempted to break into a new home under construction in the 18700 block of 164th Avenue Northeast. The attempt was not successful.
   Jan. 26: Officers responded to an alarm in the 15200 block of Woodinville-Redmond Road. They discovered a tool trailer behind the building with the door ajar. The owner arrived at the scene and confirmed that tools were missing from the trailer. The suspects also attempted to break into an office but were unsuccessful.
