Chris Schlechty, a lively, bright and humorous 17-year-old from Carnation, has been named Goodwill Ambassador for the King County Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, David Canzler, Chapter president, announced recently.
  

Only one levy passing

Early returns last week showed both Riverview School District levies passing by a narrow margin, but by Friday the vote tally indicated that Proposition 1, a two-year maintenance and operations levy, had garnered only 59.61 percent of favorable votes. School measures require a 60 percent approval to pass.
  

Engineers mitigating traffic impacts of bridge closure

Traffic will be monitored and flaggers will be stationed at critical intersections to help mitigate the impacts of this summer's Woodinville-Duvall Bridge closure, King County engineers told residents at an informational meeting last week at Cedarcrest High School.
  

Reflections: venue for young artists

Stillwater Elementary has announced the winners for the annual Reflections Contest sponsored by the PTSA. Reflections is a national art contest sponsored by the PTA.
