Hospice and Home Care volunteer classes
Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County will have an informational meeting on their volunteer program on Wednesday, March 20, from 6:30 - 8 p.m. They will be offering classes beginning in April for volunteers who want to assist patients and their families in their homes.
Patient volunteers visit patients once a week for up to four hours so the caregiver can rest or do errands. Some do light housework.
Bereavement volunteers provide support to families after a death. Licensed massage therapists are welcome.
Other volunteer needs are Lifeline installation, office work, fundraisers, transportation, notaries, barbers, hair stylists, chore service, sewing, yard and office work. Couples may work together.
The meeting will be at Providence Hospice and Home Care, 2731 Westmore Ave. in Everett. To register call (425)261-4808.
