2002 Seattle Sportsmen's Show

The only major sportsmen's show in the Seattle metro area will be held March 14-17 at the Stadium Exhibition Center in Seattle (between Safeco Field and Seahawks Stadium).
   The event features hundreds of displays and scores of experts, including a big line-up of fly fishing pros, retailers and manufacturers. Exhibitors will feature the latest products, accessories, sportfishing boats, RV's, and adventure travel services for fishers, hunters, campers, and other outdoor enthusiasts. Along with the newest products and services, fishing and hunting experts will be sharing their techniques and secrets in free around-the-clock seminars.
   Noted fly fisherman, guide, author and television host Jack Dennis, will make his first appearance at a Seattle show in several years. Leading a big line-up of fly fishing experts, Dennis will be active in several demonstration areas, including the freshwater fishing demo tank, fly tying theater and casting pond. 
   Author, television host and Outdoor Life hunting editor Jim Zumbo, author of numerous elk and mule deer hunting books‹including his just-published Mule Deer Hunting‹will share his tips of the trade. 
   Other events include:
   € Around-the-clock seminars. Scores of international and Northwest pros demonstrate their skills in two theaters, casting pools and a number of different stages
   € Unique presentation areas and displays, including a 12,000-gallon mobile aquarium stocked with a variety of species, the fly-tying theater, and a 1,000-square-foot casting pond
   € Family oriented attractions, including sporting dog demonstrations by Ralston Purina, gold panning for kids and mining displays from the Washington Prospectors Mining Association, and many other hands-on activities
   € The "Wall of Kings," including the "Tour of the Northwest's Big Game Animals," featuring a one-of-a-kind collection of the largest trophies ever taken in the Western United States.
   Show hours are 1 to 9 p.m. on Thursday (March 14); 1-10 p.m. on Friday (March 15); 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday (March 16) and 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Sunday (March 17).
   Admission for adults is $8 and juniors (6-16) are admitted for $5. Children under six are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Discount coupons, valid for $3 off adult admission Thursday and Friday only (March 14 and 15), will be available at participating Western Washington AM/PM stores.
