Citizens Academy offers insight to King County Sheriff's
The King County Sheriff's Office is hosting a Citizens Academy beginning March 26. This 10-week course, co-hosted by the Sheriff's Office and the cities of Shoreline, Kenmore and Woodinville, provides a unique insight to the day in the life of the King County Sheriff's deputy. "Participants will learn about traffic enforcement, drug enforcement, hostage negotiations and many other aspects of the services provided by the Sheriff's Office," explains Woodinville Police Chief Ken Wardstrom. "Former Academy graduates have given us high marks on the program," he adds.
Classes run from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, March 26 - May 28, at Precinct #2 in Kenmore.
Graduates receive a certificate of completion at a graduation ceremony hosted by Sheriff Dave Riechert.
