WHS cheerleaders headed for competition

On March 22-24, the WHS varsity cheerleaders will participate in the Northwest Cheerleading Championships at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma.
With 12 cheerleaders, the WHS Falcons will compete in the Small Varsity category.
Team members are: Katie Bosler, Laura Carroll, Ashley Eberenz, Mindy Freed, Emily Jerome, Lindsey Jordan, Jennifer Keaton, Kimm Moore, Denise Soderberg, Eric Stute, Jenae Yandell, and Rachel Warner.
"Our squad is small but mighty," said Robin Richard, WHS squad advisor.
"We've had injuries to some of our flyers, including Nicole Koeplin, whose leg is in a cast. But the girls are energized and looking forward to competing.
"The seniors have waited years for this experience, and it will prepare the juniors to assume leadership roles on the team next year."
   Woodinville's cheerleaders perform between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The competition is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at the door. For more information, call 800-785-2433.
