Summer program at Kidstage

Village Theatre's Kidstage Theatre Arts Education Program has announced their spring lineup of classes for area youth. Registrations are now being accepted for this spring, for children from ages 5-18. Classes are held at the Village Theatre, 303 Front St. North, in downtown Issaquah. Classes run April 22-June 17.
   The following classes are open:
   Half Pint Players: Princesses, Wizards and Knights (Grades Pre-K/K); Kinderstage: Fairy Tale Players (Grade K-1); Elementary Acting: Smorgasbord Theatre (Grades 1-2); Hip Hop Til You Drop (Grades 6-10); Acting I: Improvisation (Grades 3-5); Homeschool Drama: Shakespeare for Teens (Grades 8-12, ages 13-18); Musical Theatre: High Kicks! (Grades 3-6); Acting II: Character Study (Grades 6-10); Advanced Musical Theatre: Triple Threats (Grades 6-12)
   This first class serves as an audition, and should the student not be ready for this program, Kidstage will place him/her in another.
   Killer Audition Workshops: Four sessions of single day focused audition preparation. Limited enrollment for each session, led by the directing team of "Footloose." Part One: 16 Bars of Singing & Basic Dance Steps (Wednesday April 10, 3:30 - 6:30); Part Two: Monologues (Saturday April 13, 9:30 - 12:30); Part Three: Callbacks (Wednesday April 17, 3:30 - 6:30); Part Four: The "Footloose Way": Lovin' the 80's (Saturday April 20, 9:30 - 12:30).
