Grange women make, deliver quilts

Twenty-six sleeping bags were sewn and delivered by the women of Sammamish Valley Grange to "Teen Hope," a non-profit facility for teen-agers who have no safe place to spend the night. The facility provides a safe place, warm showers, meals, clothing counseling, educational guidance, as well as offers of family mediation, bus passes, and free phone calls to loved ones.
Teen Hope is supported by Shoreline, Kenmore, United Way and the Rotary Homeless Youth Foundation. Donations are from private sources including clothing and other necessities.
The Sammamish Valley Grange women meet to sew quilts on Tuesdays.
