YMCA summer programs

The Northshore YMCA is offering True Life Adventures (TLA) for youth ages 9-12. The program is specifically designed to broaden the horizons of older campers in exciting and innovative activities.
Each week TLA experts will lead creative theme-based programs as campers embark on this new summer tradition.
   Activities will include:
Outdoor Adventures (July 8-12) Learn wilderness skills like hiking, setting up a campsite, climbing, kayaking and survival skills. An expert outdoor guide will lead campers through team building exercises and problem-solving activities, that will guide them down the path of personal growth.
World Tour (July 22-26) A cultural artist will be your guide as you travel each day to a far away land. This international extravaganza introduces campers to different countries and cultures as they explore language, traditions, food, geography and more.
Show Biz (Aug. 5-9) A professional actor will lead you through the production of a musical. Imaginations will soar as you work as a team to produce a high-energy theatrical event including costume, creation and set design. Whether you are an actor/actress, singer, dancer or a member of the stage crew, all will work toward a Friday debut.
Financial assistance, to the extent possible, is available for those who qualify. For more information, contact Kyla Smith at the Northshore YMCA at (425) 485-9797, or ksmith@ns.seattleymca.org.
